WOMEN, ACTIVISM & THE PANDEMIC

Join us for a webinar exploring what the pandemic has taught us about women campaigning, organising and successfully influencing.

About this event

Hosted by Elect Her partners Activate, this free webinar will explore women and activism today. We will reflect on essential learning and tips from and for women working to transform local communities and national policy. We’ll also cover how the landscape has changed and what this means for effective campaigning.

So whether you're just getting started, honing your skills as a future Greta Thunberg or gearing up to get out there and level up, come and hear our panelists and join a conversation about effective change-making.

On the panel are:

  • Kajal Odedra, director of Change.org

  • Joeli Brearley, founder of Pregnant then Screwed

  • Jamie Klinger, co-founder Reclaim These Streets

  • An Activate-funded activist

  • Sophie Walker, former leader of the Women's Equality Party and co-director of Activate who will be chairing the event

The webinar will include a Q&A with our virtual audience.

Who's this webinar for?

This event is for women of all ages and experiences interested or involved in activism, community development, local and national change.

Keeping the conversation going

We will be holding a separate roundtable session following the event for people to pick up the conversation and exchange experiences. Please register for this event to be sent details.

This webinar is the first of a series discussing aspects of activism, from geographical to intersectional experiences and perspectives.
