Start HERe is a workshop designed for communities of women in Scotland that wish to facilitate discussions on women and their political power.
Whether you’re a community organisation or group, or university or college society or association, this workshop will take you on a journey, introducing you to the history of women in Scottish politics, and the amazing women who have shaped, and continue to shape the political landscape. This workshop can be hosted by your group or society to be delivered to groups members, or a wider community of women at your university or in your local area. These resources provide you with the chance to host the workshop and create meaningful discussions amongst attendees and women in your community. Elect Her will provide all the necessary resources and will be available to help along the way.

Our workshop fosters insightful discussions on the importance of diverse voices and gender equality in political decision-making. Furthermore, we'll chart the course for the future, equipping attendees with the knowledge and tools to actively participate in shaping a more inclusive political arena. Start HERe is built for women and non-binary people at any stage of their political journey, whether you are a seasoned activist, or just getting started, Start HERe to pave the way for a brighter, better and more equitable future!
If you are running this workshop for students, we encourage you to run the workshop during quieter times in the university/college calendars, such as during the first semester between September - November, and with the second semester January-March.
