Superpowers is a transformational 6 month programme for Women of Colour in the Elect Her community.  Based on a pilot programme we held in partnership with MWNUK last year, and the amazing feedback we received, we have extended the programme for 2022!

Entering the political arena is daunting and brave, we want to do everything in our power to help you prepare for that moment.  Over 6 months, women who enrol onto this programme will join coach Andleen Razzaq and the Elect Her team to explore leadership, values, the power of the unconscious mind and find brilliant ways to look after our mental health and wellbeing.

We know that women from Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority backgrounds face additional barriers when getting involved in politics at the local level and seeking political office. This programme of work will be the start of deep and transformative inner work and will help you prepare for a life as a leader.  We will explore:

  • What are our values?

  • The Power of the Unconscious Mind - How to raise confidence, anchor feelings of calm and power to engage an audience and have the power to influence anyone!

  • Leadership - Optimising performance, using mindset and emotional management and how best to build rapport with those around you.

  • Wellbeing and Managing Trauma - Women of Colour experience significantly more trauma (inherited generationally as well as current circumstances) then their white counterparts and yet the starting point is the same. How to overcome obstacles and deal with stress/overwhelm/ context based anxiety is paramount to their success.

We will also hold monthly group coaching sessions, a safe space to work on whatever spills over from the training sessions and tackle issues that come up as and when.

This programme is not going to provide you with the practical information about how to move forward on your political journey. We have other training programmes for that. This is all about you, who you are and what you believe about yourself. When you know yourself, you will be much better equipped to take on the adventure of political office!

To sign up for this programme you must be able to commit to the following dates from:

  • Sunday 6th March 2022: 10am - 1pm

  • Saturday 12th March 2022: 10am - 1pm

  • Saturday 2nd April 2022: 9am - midday

  • Saturday 11th June 2022: 10am - 1pm

  • Saturday 2nd July 2022: 10am - 1pm

To get the most out of this programme, you will need to commit to attending the majority of the sessions.

All sessions will be held online using Zoom. All of the resources & lovework (homework) will be hosted using Elect Her’s online learning platform Kajabi.

This is a free programme open to all Women of Colour in the Elect Her community. We do not want finances to be a barrier to this opportunity, so we work hard to ensure this programme is free to all from our community that want to access it.  We do however ask for a deep commitment from each person that signs up to fully participate and join every session.  Please only complete the application form if you are serious about coming on this journey with us.

We can’t wait to meet you, and join you on this special part of your journey to elected office.
