WOMEN IN SCOTTISH POLITICS - HOW DO I GET STARTED?

Event Images Template-3.png

This session is for Scottish Women who are at the very start of their political journey.

Are you wondering how to get more politically involved, and what that involvement means? Curious about politics, the way it works, and the different roles available in elected office? Are you sceptical about entering politics but are pulled towards it anyway? Then this session is for you!

This is a brilliant starter workshop as part of our Getting Started series, for Scottish women right at the start of their political journeys. Scottish Women in Politics – How Do I Get Started will give you the opportunity to explore the reason why you want to get into politics and give you practical tips on how to do it. We will cover broadly what roles are available to you in elected office, help you understand how being elected can help you make a difference in your community. The session will leave you with the knowledge of lived experience in elected office as you hear from fantastic women who have already done it.

If after this session you are keen to start your political journey, please join us for our 3 part mini workshop series “What Does My Political Future Look Like?” later this year, alongside women across the UK to map out your political journey and the steps you need to take to get into elected office.
