“HOW CAN I BECOME AN MSP?”

How Can I Become an MSP?

The Elect Her team are running our ‘How Can I Become an MSP?’ online workshops on Wednesday 27th November.

We would love you to join us!

Is this session for me?

This workshop is designed to give those who are looking at standing as an MSP, in the upcoming 2026 Scottish Parliament elections, an overview of what it is like and what essentials you need to know!

Whether you are new to politics but tempted, already planning to stand, or in the dark and wanting to know more, then this session is for you.

What will the session involve?

The workshop is designed to give attendees the knowledge and learning to confidently approach standing as an MSP. During the course of the workshop we will discuss what an MSP does; their roles, responsibilities and other important factors such as pay and day to day tasks. You will also hear from 2 inspiring MSPs about their route into politics and how each of them interprets their role. We will also provide information on the different types of training and support that is available for women MSPs once they are elected, and access to the multiple support resources available at Elect Her.

DATE: 27th November 2024

TIME: 12pm-1.30pm and 7pm-8.30pm

The sessions run for 90 minutes, and we are running two on the same day to allow you to choose a time that suits your schedule best.

How do I join?

This event is available for all members of the Elect Her community to access. If you aren’t already in our community, sign up below to join us and we will send you an invite to register for this event.
