Care about your local community?

Then you are qualified to Be A Councillor!

Woman and man gardening in a park, on a sunny day, both are smiling as they work and the woman has a speech bubble next to her face that says. "Be A Voice"

Councillors make a huge difference to the quality of life of local people and how local issues are dealt with.

We are working in partnership with a whole host of amazing organisations - 50:50 Parliament, the Disability Policy Centre, Operation Black Vote, The Politics Project and the Migrant Democracy Project - to reach those who are underrepresented in local government, and support them to Be A Councillor.

It matters that we have people from all backgrounds and experiences, who reflect the communities they serve, to stand for election.

The Local Government Association (LGA) is supporting us so we can meet communities where they are, improving representation and, in doing so, our democracy!

We’d love you to be part of it.
